Millwright Training

The Carpenters’ Training Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri is affiliated with a Training Group called the Southeast Missouri Regional Industrial Training Group. Through this group we can offer Millwright Training that is taught at the Cape Girardeau Career and Technology Center and is sponsored by Mineral Area College in Park Hills, Missouri. This training can lead towards an Associate’s Degree at Mineral Area College.

The mechanical maintenance training is offered to both Journey workers and Apprentices that are interested in becoming Millwrights. The training starts on August 17, 2011 and is taught from 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm on Wednesday nights, one night a week. The curriculum follows the school term of August through April each year; no classes in May, June or July of each year and takes 2 ½ years to complete.

This training, along with some additional training requirements, can lead to the testing of becoming a Qualified Millwright. The training is free to all UBC members as long as each class is completed and a passing grade is completed. If you have an interest in enrolling in this training, the entire curriculum is mandatory, please contact Bruce Bird via email at: or phone at: 573-335-1936 or 800-300-1886.

Please review below for a listing of each class and the progression of the classes.
